The Forestry Division manages and maintains over 21,000 parkway and city-owned trees. The City contracts with private tree care companies to provide various forestry services such as tree and stump removal, cyclical pruning of over 3,000 trees annually, pest and disease management, and storm damage repair.

Please note: If you would like to remove a tree on your property, all private property trees over 10" in diameter (measured 4.5' from the ground) are Protected Trees and require a tree removal permit.
Tree removal permits can now be submitted using the CSS Citizens Self-Service Online Portal. Once the completed Tree Removal Permit Application Form is uploaded to the portal and submitted, you will be able to review the status of the permit application in real-time.
